I have to admit, I originally wrote a completely different blog post for today. It started out more like a rant/venting session about how I’ve run into some blog drama lately. I’ve recently found out that one blogger is copying my name and content, and another blogger is spreading rumors about me that I am an online bully. I’ve been pretty upset by this, but I decided instead of having a completely negative post of “woe is me” I would turn it into something positive.

One of my favorite things as a blogger is the community that is associated with it. I’ve met some amazing ladies as a blogger, and some of them have become VERY good friends of mine! I love seeing their blog’s success, even though we blog in the same category and they might be considered my “competition”. I love the blog community, and I would never tear another blogger down, especially those that are starting out! I run a program for bloggers and companies where I include them in massive giveaways that I put together, and I promote them on social media! I love to show off newer bloggers, and even bloggers that have been around for a long time! That’s the great thing about having a following…you can help others build a following too! My goal as a blogger is to 1. show my creative side in fashion, beauty, etc so other’s can be inspired and 2. create a community of other bloggers and followers that can chat, have fun, and inspire each other! That’s what blogging should be!

To those that think it’s ok to online bully or try and tear some one down. here is one of my favorite quotes by President Uctdorf of the First Presidency:

Just Stop It!

Let’s stop tearing each other down. Let’s stop trying to sabotage each other for our own gain. The more we uplift each other, the more we all grow (and the happier we all are!). Instead of spending time trying to belittle someone, spend some time complimenting them! You never know what someone’s day might have been like, so it’s always better to be nice! Let’s all make it a goal this month to uplift each other in this amazing blogging community that we have! Let’s create a positive atmosphere on the internet! Think of the change we could bring!

Have you ever dealt with online drama? How about bullying? How did you deal with it?

PS: I am loving the lace details of this kimono. It’s such a classic, beautiful look!

xoxo
