It’s almost officially Fall everyone (even though I’m totally telling myself it is Fall already ssshhh…). To prepare for the all the Fall trends, I’ve put together an awesome list of the best lipsticks for Fall 2015! The lip trends this season are absolutely beautiful, and I’m obsessed!! The color trends all revolve around browns mixed in with pinks, reds and purples…giving us the perfect 90’s lip! I love the mauve pinks and the dark, vampire purples. All of these colors will look great on every skin tone and every hair color which I love as well!
This list involves some high end lipsticks and some drug store, just to give a good mix for every budget. There are definitely cheaper versions of the high end colors, so if you’d like me to find a dupe for you, I totally can! Below are all the lipsticks that I’ve chosen for this year’s on-trend lip colors, and each color has a link to click if you’d like to pick that color up on the online retailer! I’ve also swatched each color below so you can get a better look at what each one looks like.
The first lip color that I’m OBSESSED over is the LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick in Duchess. This lipcolor is a true mauve-pink and it will give you the perfect 90’s lip! I love how this color looks on all skin tones because it really complements the undertones of your skin. The other thing I love about this color is how plump it makes your lips look! You can never go wrong with this color!
Second color in the line-up is the Loreal Color Riche #620 Julianne’s Nude. This color is a very light pink nude, but it looks good on darker skin tones as well. I love this color because it’s a true pink, but it still works for Fall because of the tiny bit of brown added in. You can wear this color with any eye look you’d like!
Third on the list is the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lolita. This color is one of my favorites because it’s the perfect mix of brown, pink and red. It’s darker than Duchess, which makes your lips pop, but still have the subtle nude nature to them. I love wearing this color with a neutral smokey eye for an all-around Fall colors look. This color looks especially pretty on women that have warmer undertones because it brightens the skin!
My fourth pick for Fall is the Bite Beauty Creme Lipstick in Rhone. This color is a true bluish red, which is perfect for those glammed up makeup looks. This color looks beautiful on every skin tone, but looks especially good on girls that have darker skin tones and girls that have cooler skin tones. Also, the formula of these Bite Beauty lipsticks are amazing! They feel so soft and they last a long time! I highly reccommed picking this shade (and a few others!) up just for the formulation alone!
Fifth in line is the Nars Audacious Lipstick in Vivien. I’m absolutely smitten by this color (the second I saw it I knew I needed it in my collection). This color is the perfect mix of berry purple, pink and brown. I love the way this looks on all skin tones because it makes your skin look brighter and healthier! It’s almost like giving yourself a more bold natural lip. The lipstick itself is also very smooth, which makes it easy to wear a darker color like this!
Sixth is a classic, but always a favorite. It’s the MAC Satin Lipstick in Rebel. At first glance, this lip color looks like it would be extremely dark, but it comes off as a beautiful light berry purple color. This color looks beautiful with a brown smokey eye or a bold cat eye because it’s meant to make the lips pop, with a fun vintage feel. I love wearing this color all through the colder months because it helps my face look like it’s glowing!
Last but not least, we have the Milani Lipstick in #24 Black Cherry. First off, if you haven’t tried out Milani lipsticks, you need to stop reading this blog post and click on over to purchase a few colors because THEY ARE AMAZING! The formulation is beautiful and super smooth, and the color lasts forever! You can pick these up from your local Target, which means they are super inexpensive and perfect for any budget. This specific color, Black Cherry, looks like it would come off almost black, but it comes off as the most beautiful dark purple you’ll ever see! It is the perfect color if you are going for a dark, vampy lip this season. I love wearing this color with a nice flush of rose colored blush and a dark smokey eye.
