Hi, I’m Lauren! Welcome to Dressing Dallas!
I’m just an ordinary girl living in Texas with many gifts and talents. I believe in sharing those, and blogging is the perfect creative outlet for me to do that.
My blogging journey started in 2008 when I started my first blog to document my life in and around Brigham Young University. Since getting married and graduating college, I fell away from the lifestyle blogging atmosphere and decided to focus my efforts on documenting my family’s adventures here in Texas on our family’s blog. That blog is a lot of fun, and a great way to update family and friends, but I found myself missing being able to blog about my hobbies. And then came the idea for this blog! Dressing Dallas has been under production for over a year now. I wanted to make sure this blog was in tip-top shape before launching. It’s still not where I’d like it to be, but it’s getting there!
I want to dedicate this blog to nothing in particular, just my interests and hobbies. I have learned a lot over the years about a lot of fun subjects, so I want to document and share what I know and what I am learning!
My current interests are fashion, photography, beauty, and crafting. I also recently became a mother to the cutest little boy in the world, so I really love learning about the latest and greatest parenting tips. I am a believer in bargain hunting, laughing, and God. I love learning everyday, and I am excited to share with the blogging world everything I discover!
And a special note to my readers: I’m sure I’m not the only one bothered by this, but a lot of bloggers these days seem to only be blogging for sponsorships and free products. I find myself not being able to truly trust their reviews because of the fact that they want to say good things to get more free stuff. I promise this blog will NEVER become like that. I want to be 100% honest with all of you. If I try a new product and I hate it, I will tell you! I am not blogging to earn money, get free stuff, or become “popular”. I am blogging to share. I believe in being true to myself always!
I hope you enjoy your stay!
